- 1 pie crust
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pie crust according to package instructions.
- In a saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch.
- Add water and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Fold in sliced strawberries.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Allow to cool before serving.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
- Chill the pie for a few hours for better slicing.
