Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
  3. Blend in cocoa powder and red food coloring.
  4. Fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture onto the brownie batter. Swirl with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool before cutting into squares.
