  • 1 package of croissant dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fruit preserves or jam (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Roll out the croissant dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. If using, add a teaspoon of fruit preserves on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Starting from the wide end, roll the croissant dough towards the pointed end, shaping it into a crescent.
  7. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
