- 1 package of croissant dough
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fruit preserves or jam (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Roll out the croissant dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- If using, add a teaspoon of fruit preserves on top of the cream cheese.
- Starting from the wide end, roll the croissant dough towards the pointed end, shaping it into a crescent.
- Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
