Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter on dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
  • For extra gooeyness, add more butter to the filling.
