A rich and gooey coffee caramel cake that combines the deep flavors of coffee with sweet caramel for a decadent dessert.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the coffee and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake bakes, warm the caramel sauce with heavy cream in a small saucepan.
- Once the cake is done, poke holes in it with a skewer and pour the warm caramel mixture over the top.
- Let the cake cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly brewed coffee for the best flavor.
- Let the cake absorb the caramel for at least 10 minutes before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
