- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups vanilla cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Alternately add flour mixture and milk, mixing until smooth.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely. Slice horizontally into two layers.
- Spread vanilla cream on the bottom layer, top with sliced strawberries, then place the second layer on top.
- Frost the top with remaining cream and decorate with strawberries.
