Description

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix chicken with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook chicken in a pan over medium heat until fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. For tzatziki, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, dill, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Warm pita breads in a dry pan for 1 minute.
  5. Assemble gyros by placing chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, and tzatziki in pita bread.
  6. Serve immediately.
