- 500g chicken breast, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, grated
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
- Mix chicken with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes.
- Cook chicken in a pan over medium heat until fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
- For tzatziki, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, dill, and a pinch of salt.
- Warm pita breads in a dry pan for 1 minute.
- Assemble gyros by placing chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, and tzatziki in pita bread.
- Serve immediately.
