A flavorful Greek-inspired meatball bowl served with creamy tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients

- 500g ground beef or lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried mint
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F).
- Mix ground meat, onion, garlic, oregano, mint, cumin, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Form mixture into small meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- Prepare tzatziki by mixing yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt.
- Assemble bowls with rice, meatballs, tomatoes, red onion, and feta.
- Drizzle with tzatziki sauce and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken.
- Let tzatziki sit for 30 minutes for flavors to blend.
- Meatballs can be made ahead and refrigerated.
