Description

A quick and delicious sandwich made with ground beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and bell peppers, sauté until soft.
  3. Push vegetables to the side and add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Once beef is browned, mix with vegetables.
  6. Divide mixture among hoagie rolls.
  7. Top each with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  8. Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • Substitute provolone with American cheese if preferred.
