  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This ground beef rice bowl is a quick and easy weeknight dinner that’s packed with flavor and nutrients. It’s a delicious blend of seasoned ground beef, rice, and fresh vegetables, making it a satisfying meal for the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb
  • 1 cup
  • 2 cups
  • 1 tablespoon
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. In a separate saucepan, combine the rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 18-20 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  4. While the rice is cooking, add mixed vegetables to the skillet with ground beef. Stir and cook until heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Once the rice is done, fluff it with a fork and divide it into bowls.
  6. Top each bowl with the ground beef and vegetable mixture. Drizzle with soy sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference or what you have on hand.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a splash of sesame oil or a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
