Ingredients

  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the ham bone in a large pot.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add vegetables, potatoes, garlic powder, black pepper, bay leaves, and salt.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  5. Remove the ham bone, shred meat, and return it to the pot.
  6. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
