- 1 (30 oz) bag frozen hashbrowns, thawed
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, chopped onion, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- If desired, sprinkle the crushed cornflakes on top for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add diced green chilies to the mixture.
- You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup for a vegetarian option.
