Description

Juicy, flavorful homemade cheeseburgers grilled to perfection. Perfect for summer barbecues and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
  • Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the meat.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
  4. Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.
  5. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty after flipping. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Assemble your cheeseburgers by placing the patty on the bottom half of the bun and adding your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
