Description
Juicy, flavorful homemade cheeseburgers grilled to perfection. Perfect for summer barbecues and family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.
- Add a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty after flipping. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
- Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Assemble your cheeseburgers by placing the patty on the bottom half of the bun and adding your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
