A healthier twist on classic jalapeno poppers.
Ingredients

- 10 fresh jalapenos
- 1 cup low-fat cream cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the jalapenos in half and remove seeds.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the filled jalapenos.
- Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by leaving some seeds in the jalapenos.
- Serve with a side of salsa or guacamole.
