Ingredients

  • 10 fresh jalapenos
  • 1 cup low-fat cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the jalapenos in half and remove seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the filled jalapenos.
  6. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by leaving some seeds in the jalapenos.
  • Serve with a side of salsa or guacamole.
