Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  9. Place the slices in a greased baking dish.
  10. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  12. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and water for the glaze.
  13. Drizzle the glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
