Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa powder, and milk in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Stir until butter is melted and mixture is smooth.
  6. If using, fold in chopped nuts.
  7. Pour into a greased dish and let it cool.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
