  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp water (optional, for cornstarch slurry)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, flipping chicken halfway.
  4. If using cornstarch, mix it with water to make a slurry. Stir into the sauce to thicken.
  5. Remove chicken from the pan and slice. Drizzle with remaining sauce.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
