Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
- Simmer for 10 minutes. Add peas and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the beef mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve with brown bread.
- Can substitute ground lamb for beef.
- Top with cheese before baking for extra flavor.
