Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups tomato sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and shape into 1.5-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown meatballs on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour tomato sauce over the meatballs.
- Simmer covered for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.
- Serve hot with pasta or crusty bread.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
- For softer meatballs, soak breadcrumbs in milk for 10 minutes before mixing.
- Freeze uncooked meatballs for later use.
