Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. While the cake is baking, prepare the jello according to the package instructions. Dissolve the jello powder in boiling water, then stir in the cold water.
  5. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
  6. Using a fork or skewer, poke holes all over the surface of the cake.
  7. Pour the prepared jello over the warm cake, ensuring it fills the holes. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, spread whipped topping over the cake. If desired, top with sliced strawberries or other fruit.
  9. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of jello for a different taste.
  • For a fun twist, try using a combination of jello flavors.
