Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the jello according to the package instructions. Dissolve the jello powder in boiling water, then stir in the cold water.
- Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
- Using a fork or skewer, poke holes all over the surface of the cake.
- Pour the prepared jello over the warm cake, ensuring it fills the holes. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread whipped topping over the cake. If desired, top with sliced strawberries or other fruit.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- You can use any flavor of jello for a different taste.
- For a fun twist, try using a combination of jello flavors.
