This classic Kentucky Derby Pie is a rich chocolate and nut pie with a hint of bourbon, perfect for celebrating the Derby or any special occasion.

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, corn syrup, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
