- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until blended.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set and the edges are lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing.
- Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream if desired.
