Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips to create fries.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with vegetable oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, prepare the dip by mixing together mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl.
- Once the fries are done, serve them hot with the dip on the side.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes before baking to remove excess starch.
- Feel free to customize the dip by adding herbs or spices according to your taste.
