- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and gochujang to create marinade.
- Add sliced beef to the marinade, mix well, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- To assemble the bowls, place cooked rice in each bowl, top with bulgogi beef, sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, and green onions.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the beef marinate longer if time allows.
- Serve with kimchi and pickled vegetables for an authentic experience.
