Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the beef in a hot pan until browned on all sides.
  3. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  4. Place the beef in a slow cooker with onions and carrots.
  5. Pour the sauce and beef broth over the meat.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Shred the meat and serve with rice.
