Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- Sear the beef in a hot pan until browned on all sides.
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Place the beef in a slow cooker with onions and carrots.
- Pour the sauce and beef broth over the meat.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Shred the meat and serve with rice.
