Lavender Lemonade with Fresh Mint: 5 Refreshing Tips

A refreshing and fragrant lavender lemonade infused with fresh mint, perfect for a summer day.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • as needed ice cubes
  • for garnish lemon slices
  • for garnish extra mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the dried lavender and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the lavender syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the lavender flowers.
  4. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir to combine.
  5. Muddle the fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a glass or pitcher, then add ice cubes.
  6. Pour the lavender lemonade over the ice and mint, and stir gently.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices and extra mint sprigs before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger lavender flavor, let the syrup steep longer.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
  • This lemonade can be served sparkling by adding soda water instead of still water.
