Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until smooth.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp, tossing to combine.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
