- 8 ounces fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until smooth.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp, tossing to combine.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
