Marsala Chicken Orzo is a flavorful one-pan dish combining tender chicken, creamy orzo pasta, and rich marsala wine sauce.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1/2 cup marsala wine
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 5-6 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In same skillet, sauté onion for 3 minutes until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in marsala wine and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in orzo, chicken broth, and cream. Bring to boil.
- Return chicken to skillet, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle with parmesan and parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use dry marsala wine for best flavor
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if needed
- Add mushrooms for extra flavor
