Instructions
- Rinse the millet under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the millet, water or milk, diced apples, cinnamon, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the millet is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in maple syrup or honey if using, and adjust sweetness to taste.
- Serve warm, topped with chopped nuts or seeds if desired.
Notes
