- 2 cups fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup club soda or sparkling water
- Crushed ice
- Mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely to create a simple syrup.
- Remove from heat and add the fresh mint leaves to the syrup. Allow it to steep for about 30 minutes to infuse the mint flavor.
- Strain the mint leaves from the syrup using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
- In a glass, add crushed ice and pour in 2-3 tablespoons of the mint syrup over the ice.
- Top with club soda or sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the amount of mint syrup based on your sweetness preference.
- You can also add a splash of lemon or lime juice for a citrus twist.
