  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Enjoy the refreshing taste of a classic mint julep without the alcohol. This non-alcoholic version is perfect for everyone to enjoy on a hot day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water
  • Crushed ice
  • Mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely to create a simple syrup.
  2. Remove from heat and add the fresh mint leaves to the syrup. Allow it to steep for about 30 minutes to infuse the mint flavor.
  3. Strain the mint leaves from the syrup using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  4. In a glass, add crushed ice and pour in 2-3 tablespoons of the mint syrup over the ice.
  5. Top with club soda or sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of mint syrup based on your sweetness preference.
  • You can also add a splash of lemon or lime juice for a citrus twist.
