- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Coat beef strips in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a pan and cook beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add soy sauce, brown sugar, water, ginger, and garlic. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Return beef to the pan and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
- Adjust sugar for a sweeter or less sweet taste.
- Serve over rice for a complete meal.
