Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Fondant for decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, starting and ending with flour.
  6. Mix in vanilla extract.
  7. If desired, add food coloring.
  8. Pour batter into bento cake pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cakes cool before decorating.

Notes

  • Use different colors for a fun design.
  • Experiment with fondant decorations.
