Creative bento cake designs for Mother’s Day.
Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional)
- Fondant for decorations
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, starting and ending with flour.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- If desired, add food coloring.
- Pour batter into bento cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool before decorating.
Notes
- Use different colors for a fun design.
- Experiment with fondant decorations.
- Allow cakes to cool completely before frosting.
