- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Buttercream frosting (for decoration)
- Edible flowers or sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into mini cake pans, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the mini cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, decorate the mini cakes with buttercream frosting and top with edible flowers or sprinkles.
Notes
- These mini cakes can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container.
