Ingredients

  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in Cajun seasoning.
  5. Add pasta, cream, and broth. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until pasta is cooked.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
