A delicious overnight French toast casserole that is easy to prepare and perfect for breakfast.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Place the cubed bread in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and stir to combine.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
Notes
- Can substitute bread with brioche or challah.
- Add berries for extra flavor.
- Can be made gluten-free with gluten-free bread.
