Description
Pan seared scallops cooked in white wine sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 pound scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse and pat dry the scallops.
- Season scallops with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove scallops and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and garlic, sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in white wine and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Return scallops to the skillet and coat them in the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use dry white wine for best flavor.
- Do not overcrowd the pan when searing.
- Scallops should be served immediately for best texture.
