Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove scallops from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add butter and capers; cook for 1 minute.
  7. Add lemon juice and zest; stir well.
  8. Return scallops to the skillet; coat with the sauce.
  9. Serve immediately.
