A refreshing and bubbly drink that combines the sweetness of peaches with the aromatic hint of basil, perfect for summer gatherings.

- 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine the sliced peaches and the cooled sugar syrup. Blend until smooth.
- In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, and chopped basil. Stir well.
- Add the sparkling water to the pitcher and gently stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and additional basil leaves.
Notes
- For a stronger basil flavor, let the basil steep in the lemonade mixture for 30 minutes before adding the sparkling water.
- This lemonade can be made ahead of time; just add the sparkling water right before serving to maintain the fizz.
