  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A warm and delicious peach cobbler that combines fresh peaches with a buttery, flaky crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until the peaches are well coated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
  4. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a classic dessert.
  • Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor. Canned peaches can be used but may alter the texture.
