Description
A simple recipe for pigs in a blanket using Pillsbury dough.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of Pillsbury crescent roll dough
- 12 hot dogs
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- If using, place a small amount of cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
- Place a hot dog on top of the cheese (if using) and roll it up tightly.
- Place the rolled pigs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each pig in a blanket.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve with mustard or ketchup.
- Can substitute turkey or veggie hot dogs.
- Experiment with different cheeses for added flavor.
