  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour melted butter into a 9-inch round cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the butter.
  3. Arrange pineapple slices on top. Place a cherry in the center of each slice.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Beat softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  6. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the batter, mixing until smooth.
  7. Pour batter over pineapples in the pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
