Ingredients

- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plum pudding, crumbled
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix strawberries with 1/2 cup sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and remaining sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Fold in crumbled plum pudding.
- Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool, then top with strawberries and whipped cream.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add more plum pudding.
- Serve chilled for best taste.
- Can substitute strawberries with other berries.
