Description

Delicious pumpkin cinnamon rolls with a creamy frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, and egg to the yeast mixture.
  5. Mix wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  6. Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
  7. Let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  8. Roll out the dough and spread with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Roll tightly and cut into rolls.
  10. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese for frosting.
  13. Spread frosting over warm rolls.

  • Can substitute pumpkin puree with sweet potato puree.
