  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  4. Add the pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before frosting.

Notes

  • For the cream cheese frosting, beat together 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 4 cups powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
