Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme in a bowl.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the rib roast.
  4. Place the rib roast in a roasting pan bone-side down.
  5. Roast for 20 minutes at 450°F, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C).
