Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sausage (use your favorite breakfast sausage)
- 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions

- In a large bowl, combine the sausage, cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix until well combined. If the mixture is too dry, add the milk a little at a time until it holds together.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- These sausage cheese balls can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use. Just bake them from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
- Feel free to customize the cheese by using a blend of cheddar and mozzarella for a different flavor.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or marinara.
