- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 large portobello mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Mix ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape into 4 patties.
- In a small pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, then set aside.
- Grill or cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side until done.
- Brush mushrooms with olive oil and grill for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Top each burger with a slice of Swiss cheese and let it melt.
- Spread garlic butter on the buns and toast lightly if desired.
- Assemble the burgers with the cooked mushrooms and serve immediately.
