A creamy and cheesy scalloped potatoes recipe with gruyere and cheddar.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Butter a baking dish.
- Layer half the potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half the cheeses, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Repeat layers.
- Pour heavy cream over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for even potato slices.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
