Ingredients

- 1 pound of sea scallops
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add scallops to the skillet, searing for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add butter and lemon juice to the skillet.
- Cook for an additional minute, spooning butter over scallops.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Make sure the scallops are dry for a better sear.
- Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
