Ingredients

  • 8 oz sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz pasta (such as penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in Dijon mustard and heavy cream. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Return steak to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use any pasta you prefer.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • Add a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
